Hygiene Engineering Solutions for Food and Dairy Industries

Oasis Engineering has a strong reputation for producing products for CNG/NGV, Energy and Transport sectors. What isn’t so well known however is that we also provide custom solutions for the New Zealand Food and Dairy industries.

 

Oasis’s Technical Sales Engineer, Paul Stewart, attended a comprehensive training course in Christchurch regarding Hygienic Design.  It was led by European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group - a non-profit consortium of equipment manufacturers predominantly concentrating on European guidelines. The main focus was based around food industries; suppliers to the sector; research institutes and universities; public health authorities; and government organisations. 

 

“We’re already major suppliers to the NZ Food and Dairy sectors (manufacturing valves for Fonterra suppliers) and we povide other custom solutions for clients. Obviously hygiene is paramount to them all so we’re looking to design not only usable products, but engineering that protects the high quality of the end product and ultimately also protects the consumers,” Paul Stewart. 

 

The course covered a wide range of topics applicable to the entire New Zealand primary industry sector from the local producer right through to manufacturers and end consumers. With a solid understanding of hygienic risks the Oasis team can comprehend the high importance of designing products that suit clients’ required functionality perfectly.

 

We’re pleased to say that Paul passed his final examination and is now much more knowledgeable about how Oasis Engineering can support the New Zealand Food and Beverage industries.
